The Conway Pack : Gracie, Bella & Molly

A few weeks back we had an evening of treats and fun with a trio of fluffy Maltese pups.  It was amazing to see their distinct personalities come out and how each of them responded to different motivations to get into those camera ready poses.  Gracie is the oldest of the three and a daddy’s girl.  Then there’s Bella who is the confident protector of the pack followed by Molly who’s the life of the party.  Bella’s more of a mommy’s girl and Molly is independent but shares her love equally with dogs and humans alike.  Here are some of our favorites from the shoot.  Enjoy!!:)

Family and Jerome Arizona

Our families live on the East Coast, almost all of them in New Jersey with a select few scattered as north as upstate NY and as south as Georgia.  So, it’s not too often that we have visitors.  We were excited to hear that Sean’s parents were making the trip out to visit over President’s Day week.  It’s always a balance to find time to just hang out and enjoy each others company but also take the time to see and experience the beautiful views Arizona has to offer.  For this visit we decided to take a day trip up to Jerome, Arizona and bring Gatsby along for the ride.

If you ever get a chance to visit this historic copper mining town you’ll want to stand on the edge and enjoy the view.  This particular Sunday started out with a pretty strong overcast.

If you enjoy handcrafted jewelry, unique furniture, decorations and art, you’ll really enjoy walking through all of the various shops in town.

Sean’s parents…they are too cute!

A mother’s love is stronger than anything in the world.

Gatsby was such a good boy on this trip.  He loved the car ride up and had fun getting to meet all the local dogs around town.

As the day progressed the clouds began to break and the sun provide some welcome warmth.

Here’s one of the big boys that wanted to play with Gatsby.  Such a handsome boy.

Take it in, breathe deep and leave a little more grounded.  Oh, and watch those curves.;)

During the week we did a fun studio session.  Here are some of our favorites:

And we couldn’t leave out a couple of fun silly shots:

Our Pack : Lilly, Robin and Gatsby

Sean and I have three fur babies; one Chihuahua named Lilly and two Boxers named Robin and Gatsby.  Let me introduce you to the leader of the pack [non-human because we will pull a Cesar Millan alpha dog on them if need be;)]

This is Lilly.  She was our first dog and enjoys being a bit of a diva.  She’s 11 now but plays, rough houses and cuddles like a pup.  She loves to take care of her pack by giving lots of kisses and hugs when ever you need them.  She prefers to be our lumbar support in the computer room but we’ve tried to get her on board with the idea of a co-captain chair.  She’s warming up to it.

Lilly loves getting her picture taken anywhere but really digs the studio.  In addition to having her picture taken she loves treats, bones and car rides…especially when any kind of drive thru is involved.  She’s a bit of a show off but really just loves to make people smile.  We knew Lilly was a bit of a diva and thought having a sister would help that out.  We looked for a great breed that wouldn’t care about a Chihuahua’s attitude and we decided on a Boxer.

This is Robin.  She was born the same day we arrived in Arizona, August 1st 2005.  Robin is our shy girl.  Because she grew up with Lilly as her big sister, she thinks she’s a lap dog.  She likes to clean up after her sister and brother and will lick their bowls to make sure they’re all clean.  Robin loves to play Frisbee and is great at catching treats.  She let’s Lilly be mean to her and plays sweet and gentle with her.  She enjoys full on boxer playtime with her brother Gatsby but most of all Robin loves to sit or lay on the couch and watch TV.  :)

In classic boxer style she is a very serious girl.

Check out that intensity!

This is Gatsby, the youngest member of our pack.  He is the BEST!  We were his foster parents before we adopted him (more on that here).  He is soo sweet and loves everything and everyone.  He loves his sisters.  He prefers to hang out outside and we are thinking about giving him the nickname of pigpen because he likes to loosen the dirt and make a dirt bed for himself.  He also enjoys sunbathing.  He can’t wait for the next time he gets to go for a car ride or on a walk with the pack.  He’s still fighting Valley Fever and takes his Fluconazole twice a day like a champ.

What a handsome boy.  He’s a mere 49 lbs to Robin’s 72 lbs.

Gatsby has moves like Jagger but hasn’t quite gotten the concept of catch. (That treat totally bounced right off his nose.)

Yup, we get these looks on a daily basis.  They’re tough to resist sometimes.

This is Robin giving Lilly her “don’t even think about it” face.

This is our “size doesn’t mean much in our house” photo.  Lilly being a diva and Robin wondering why she has to be here and not on the couch.

Lilly wonders about Gatsby sometimes but in the end gives him love and cuddles galore.

Seriously, please comment and tell me if you didn’t laugh when you looked at this photo.

This is our rock band photo.  You know, the one where the band member is looking somewhere else.

Aww!  Thanks for stopping by.  We send you virtual Chihuahua kisses and big Boxer hugs.

They are adoreable. They are sooooo cute. I could just hug them all. You guys are so lucky to have them and they all get along with each other. Love Mom

Be Awesome : Danica and her Family

Babies are cute but I’ve heard that none are as cute as when they are right between that six to nine month range.  Meet Danica.  Not only is she part of the cutest age group but, she’s also a super happy baby that loves her big sister Oriana.   Scroll down to see the fun we had together.

We almost can’t handle the cuteness going on right here.

See what I mean?

This girl is destined to do great things!

And what better way to do great things but in amazing shoes!

Such a beautiful family.

Family fun and good times…what more can you ask for?

Phil and Darcy, you are amazing.  Thank you for having us over to enjoy the day!

Be Unique : Sam

High School Seniors are a blast to have in the studio.  It’s a really exciting time in their lives and when they’re with us our hope is that they can forget about the books, pressure and expectations and just have a great time being themselves.

When we met Sam we knew we were in for an adventure.  We got to know her serious side…

Her fun loving silly side…

The fact that John Green is an amazing author and how we should definitely check out his books.  She was able to get his signature on her Converse…nice!

She loves music and drama.  No, not Jersey Shore drama, theater drama silly goose.  ;)

Fashion is all about the right accessories and showing your unique style…Sam’s a natural!

These are two of Sam’s favorite things, her awesome pups, Biscuit and Leah.  They’re actually from the same litter.  Crazy, right?

Sam, you have such beautiful eyes.  Thanks for sharing the day with us.
