Tempe Festival of the Arts

In preparation for Sean’s parents coming into town I checked into what was on tap for events last week across the valley and was pleased to see that the Tempe Festival of the Arts was going on.  We ended up going on Sunday, the final day of three.  To say this was a large festival might be an understatement.  It was a gorgeous day out.  If you weren’t wearing sunscreen, a burn was a strong possibility.  They had 400+ art exhibitors and vendors that not only went down Mill Ave but stretched out to its cross streets as well.  We definitely got in exercise that day if we wanted to or not.:)

Here are a list of some of my favorite artists of the day:

jewelry for the soul : janet wight

metalworks art : mary beier

blue piranha JEWELRY : Jill Sharp

bykali : kali mellus

CARMICHAEL : Dan, Lynne, & Aaron

Robert Graydon Pottery : Robert Graydon (*this was one of Sean’s parent favs)

From the amount of people there on Sunday I have to believe it was a successful weekend for all.  We certainly enjoyed ourselves and picked up a few items ourselves.
